Donna we just talked a month before about you visiting Edmonton and the opportunities here. You told me when you get better, it is a date. We joked and reminisced about our time together at Dundee. We used to be gym buddies. You used to laugh and say oh come on look at my age and I can do it, get your butt up. There are very few people in life that are a genuine kind soul but you were one of them. I can see why God would have wanted you earlier. You will me missed but rest in peace as you left a piece of your love in every person's heart you encountered.

The loss of Donna has left an empty hole in all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Thankfully, that hole is filling up with the wonderful memories of moments shared with her, the feeling we have when we remember her wonderful smile and the love she offered so unconditionally to all of us. We are all very blessed. Thank you Donna!

I have known Donna for the past 6 years, and she always displayed courage and strength. So, when she told me that she had a battle to fight I was certain that she would win that battle. Knowing Donna, I know she fought as much as she could. However, sometimes life's burdens gets to heavy for us to carry, and that's when that Great Central Controlling Animating Force (GOD) steps in and says REST for a season. I think our paths crossed on our sojourn on this planet to teacher me that to overcome on this journey its going to take strength and courage. I pray that GOD gives her family those two attributes to comfort them in their time of bereavement. I know that those that have transitioned before she will meet her, and guide her into the kingdom of the ALMIGHTY. R.I.P Donna!

My dearest, Donna,
I am so grateful for the beautiful friendship that we shared - particularly over this past year. Your unwavering strength and spirit has taught me compassion, bravery and forgiveness - for ourselves and for others. The three things that Donna valued most in life were her family, her faith and her friends. Over the years, we shared many laughs and a few tears - and probably too many Five Guys fries - but I will cherish these memories always. Cardinals, for Donna, were her signs from heaven - and when she saw one - she was comforted knowing that God was with her. This Sunday, after her passing, a cardinal flew into my backyard - the first one I've seen this season - and I was comforted in knowing that Donna was safe and at peace. One of her favourite poems was "Desiderata" by Max Ehrmann - which she kept by her desk at work and encouraged everyone to read. The poem provides advice on how to live a happy and contented life and Donna practiced its sentiments diligently. The poem concludes with: "Be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labours and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy". Your soul is at peace now, my dear friend. You have truly blessed our lives and I am honoured to call you my friend. Love you forever, Donna.

My heart broke when I was told the news yesterday of Donna's passing. I had been trying to get in touch with her to see how she was doing as we last spoke at the end of January and she was thinking of going back to work. It's hard to understand as she was so full of life. It's hard to believe because she was just there. And it's hard to know that she's physically not here anymore to talk to, to laugh with, to cry with and just to get sound advice to soothe a trouble heart as her words of wisdom and her compassion was what made her unique. She was kind hearted and always thought of others before herself and I feel privileged that she chose me as part of her circle of friends. I will miss her terribly as she was my best friend and she supported me when I needed it the most. She was the world of good in this world and because of her I'm a better person and for this I thank her.
To her family my heart is with you all as is the pain of losing her. I wish I had the honor of saying goodbye to her. Thank you for sharing her with me and allowing me into your lives and being a part of the family. She always spoke of all of you as she was proud to have a big family especially the grandkids and her latest great grandchild. I'm glad she got to see him.
To Donna you were the soul to my heart, you were my best friend that I got to tell all the time that I loved you, you were my confidant and you were my biggest supporter. I appreciate all the love and care that you gave to me over the years and it was not lost on me that you cared and I always wanted you to know that I cared about you, for you and with you. May you have peace and goodness in your new life and help those of us come to terms with life without you. Love you and miss you always. Monique and Zelda xxoo

Donna,
I haven’t stopped thinking about you since hearing of your passing. You gave your all to everything that you did, whether it brought you happiness or not. You always pushed on, through thick and thin, through good days and bad days and you rarely complained. In fact, you would still pass by my desk and make a wise crack or silly gesture that always made me laugh.
I’ve missed you since I left Dundee, and still always think about our special coffees we shared or your interesting train stories or your stories about your future goal of moving to be closer to your family.
I know how much you loved angels and how you felt they were always around you in some way or another, especially when you were going through a tough time. I won’t be able to think of them now without thinking of you...a special angel.

My dearest friend,
The loss of such a kind and compassionate person is hard on all of us. You were always positive, even threw all your pain. After many years working together at Dundee I was glad we got to reconnect last year and have many great Friday lunches.
Your pain is now over and your mom is waiting for you with big open arms and so is the Bingo Hall in the sky. Hope you have your favourite dabber!
I will miss you Donna,
Much love,
Carol
