Obituary of John (Jan) DeZwaan Sr.

Peacefully passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 97 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Gerritje "Gerry". Loving father of George, John (Karen) and Philip. Proud grandpa of Curtis (Michelle Breanne), Michelle Leanne (Jon) Davies and Tara (William Linkletter). Cherished great grandpa of Alexis, William, Ben, Chloe and Caleb. John is survived by his brother Rein. John will also be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 19153 Centre St., Mt. Albert for visitation on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Hillside Church, 1 Don Rose Blvd., Mt. Albert on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment Queensville Cemetery. In John's memory, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
