Obituary of Helen Ilona Szabo
Peacefully passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Thursday, August 1, 2019. Helen Szabo of Gilford and formerly of Toronto in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late John “Janos”. Loving mother of Arpad (Florence) Szabo and Gabriella (late Robert) Dixon. Proud Mama of Helen (Adam), Dianna (Mark), Arpad (Katie) and Margie (Scott); Robi, Renata (Kim) and Andy. Cherished Dedi Mama of James, Victoria-Ann; Timothy, Jenna, Jeremy; Luke, Lauren, Peter; Chloe, Sadie; Erika, Nikita; and Christian. Survived by her brother Karcsi and many relatives in Hungary. Friends will be received at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford for visitation on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Martyrs of Japan Church, 167 Essa St., Bradford on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Martyrs Cemetery, Bradford. In Helen’s memory, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Southlake Regional Health Centre.
