Julie was the best neighbour anyone could ask for. She was always out there fiddling in her garden even right up until she left at age 92. Her garden was impressive and she grew the best tomatoes I've ever tasted, starting right from seeds. She loved to chat over the fence and always has a smile and a story for me. Once my boys were born she would love for us to come over so she could snuggle with them. I'm thankful my newest son was able to receive one of those cuddles too. I'd often leave with some jam or cabbage rolls (still the best I've ever tasted) or a pair of socks for my husband. Those socks were a favourite of my husband's, he's never found anyone who could make socks like hers, and he wore his daily, my sons were also lucky to have received a few pairs of those favored socks. We enjoyed our lunch out to Swiss Chalet for their soup, or towards the end I would pick it up so we could enjoy it at home. I loved to listen to her stories of back home or about Bradford in it's very early days. While sad to leave her home after so many years, she found comfort in her new home at Alexander Muir. I am sad that her time here has come to an end, but I know she will be happy to be reunited with her husband and especially her daughter whom she lost so young.
You will forever be remembered.
