First of all, might I say that the picture you have of Doreen is absolutely gorgeous! What a beautiful and warm smile she has!
We here at Bradford Family Foot and Orthotic Clinic have only recently found out from Googling Doreen's name that she had passed in December of 2019. She was a pleasure to have at our clinic. She brought a breath of fresh air to me and my staff every time she came in. She would give me nursing tips. She sent me e-mails of beautiful birds and nature pictures on a regular basis. The very best things I remember of her was that she was never afraid to tell me what I could improve on and I always welcomed it because it always came from the heart. Near the last few sessions we had, she felt more and more tired and I'm relieved to know that she is not suffering anymore. I know she is in a better place. She will be missed. In fact, she IS missed; so much so that we endeavoured to Google her name to see if she's ok. Alas, ulimately is now more ok than all the rest of us.
All of our love and good thoughts to her and her entire friends and family. She left an amazing impression on all of us.

I am so sorry for your loss Rene and family.
Doreen and I worked together in the Emergency Room so long ago at what used to be York County Hospital.
Happily over the years we have kept in touch as I have lived in Florida for many years.
She kept me laughing over the years with her jokes and funny emails and I will miss her.
Despite her poor health she sure was and inspiration.

My friend I shall truly miss you. You helped shape me into the person I am today. You helped me choose a career path that I was unsure of. Your guidance, your knowledge and forth righteousness has helped me help others but I think the best quality that you instilled in me, in us, was humor. One must laugh in any given situation no matter how tragic the circumstances may be and how disapproving you were with one or all of us. Just one story will tell you who Doreen was. Smoking was forbidden on all client floors but during the winter months, who wanted to go outside so we tried to sneak one. One would smoke while another was look out but she knew, she always knew. One minute you were alone the next she was standing behind you with a rolled up newspaper in her hand. Then there it was, the not so gentle tap on top of the head telling you, OUT, however, she did it smiling. Now you are smiling at all of us for your pain is gone and the smell in the air is scented with violets. I shall forever miss you.

Deepest condolences to Rene, Laura Lynn, Barry and families. There was always a sparkle of love and pride in her eye when speaking of her family. Doreen was not only a friend to Mom but really a part of our family and over the years, a second Mom to me. Dad enjoyed any time spent with her especially her wit and countless jokes hidden in her back pocket for him to be pulled out at just the right time. The photo attached was taken during their Alaskan cruise and my favorite picture of them together. Dependable for support, fair, good judgement, devotion, confidant, loyal and always good for a laugh or two! My memories of Doreen are countless whether it was at work, home or wherever we shared space and always with love.
There are people who cross paths during a lifetime shining like a beacon and forever bringing light into your life, Doreen was that. She will be sadly missed. Cheers my friend, to a life well lived!
