GEORGE WRIGHT
It is not difficult for me to describe George Wright.
What is difficult is, there are so many good things to say about George that I'm having a hard time
doing so in an orderly articulate fashion...so here goes...
In the 15 years George and Marion have been our great friends and neighbours, George has shown
much kindness, consideration, friendship, camaraderie and a love of life and people in general. We all
know of his love of his family, the care and dedication to his gardens, his antique automobiles and, of
course, golf.
I cannot ever remember George complaining about anything or anyone. He always seemed to exude
happiness and enjoyment whatever the circumstances and whenever we chanced to speak. His strength
and determination are a lasting tribute to him!
I can see George now sitting on a porch chair, Lucky (our Holly's one true cat friend) in his arms,
regaling all in attendance with stories of family and friends, antique automobiles and golf scores and
stories. Then again it might be about gardening, road trips or the annual Cookstown-wide yard sales.
Whatever the current topic, it was always worth the time to listen and appreciate George Wright's life
experiences.
George will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. The greatest tribute I can
think of for George is also very simple... George Wright was a “GOOD” man and the world is a much
lesser place without him!
Til we meet again, George...

George will be missed, if he was not working in his garden, he was enjoying sitting on the porch and a nice sunny day, He was so kind as to not floor the engine of the beautiful antique car, so people would not be disturbed...I still loved when both were in the Stang. George had a smile, that made everyone smile. I called them the cute couple that lived across the street. Marian was an angel looking after George, the love of her life, holding the ladder when he was trying to go up it last fall, but all in all, they still are the cute couple that lives across the street. His memories will live on as does his smile. All the best to you from the neighbour across the street Kristina Zegota.

Living on the west coast seems far away but familes in Ontario have always been close in our hearts. Fond memories of childhood days on the farm with cousin George and his siblings and visits more recently in the last couple of years with George & Marian at Nancy and Doug’s were special. Lots of love to you Marian and our Wright cousins.
