Mrs. Karger was my French teacher at Silverthorn Collegiate in the early 90s. She is the reason that I am a French teacher today! I was shocked the first time she spoke English because we didn’t know she could ! And her gorgeous sense of style could not be beat. When I teach, I often think of what I learned from her and how I use it every day. Rest In Peace , Mary.

Mary you were my long ago tennis competitor at Credit Valley. At that time we challenged the men only rule on Sunday mornings, no playing through tea time, tagging up at untagable times and wearing other than white. Mary you are in my memory as my partner in challenging the rules and being my tennis playing mentor. We also shared our pation for teaching. Every year at Christmas when my daughter puts up her First Christmas bulb on the tree, I tell her about you who gifted us this memory.

Madame Karger taught me French in Grade 9 at Vincent Massey. It was my first course in French and she made it so enjoyable. I will always think of her as a very classy lady, both in appearance and her manner. Lovely lady.

I was sorry to hear about Madame Karger. She taught me Grade 12 French at VMCI thirty-nine years ago. I have fond memories of being in her class. She was a fine teacher and a wonderful person. My condolences to her family.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to Mary’s family and Stan. I first met Mary when she was a member of Pine Point Tennis Club. When I watched her play singles at Pine Point, her grace on the court reminded me of a ballerina. Mary and I became friends through the tennis community, over the years we moved to the same tennis clubs throughout the west GTA. My daughters also had the privilege of being taught French by her at Vincent Massey Collegiate. For many years, Mary and I played ladies doubles together at Credit Valley Tennis Club on a weekly basis over the summer months. I greatly enjoyed her friendship and the time we spent together. I will miss her at our annual lunch with Kathy and Angela our former tennis doubles group.
Sincerely Neil Jones and family.

A long time friend of ours. We had great times together. We will miss Mary forever. She kept us happy - on-point - and exploring.
Dom had the opportunity of playing tennis with Mary and she was a fantastic player. We had good times with Mary and Stan. We will miss our outings. Angels will always be with Mary.
It's okay to miss you,
It's okay to cry.
Just know - we will never forget you.
This isn't a permanent good-bye.
Love from Dominic and Terry Greco
