I think the greatest lesson that I learned from Connie, especially in my first few years, was how to express family love. Whenever she left, she turned her cheek and asked for a kiss. Not long after, it became second nature to me. That, then turned into a kiss and a hug. I'm am now officially a "hugger" kinda guy. For that, I am truly thankful. Human touch makes such a difference
She was a lady ready to try just about anything and one who was in her element helping out with the kids or working around the house. She would kick Marie and I out for movie night knowing we needed it, but also so she could have the fun of dealing with the kids.
Our boys relish the time spent with Gramma and hold many memories of her in their hearts.
She will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Here's one more hug and kiss Connie x0

Auntie Connie played major role in my life. She looked after me for a week when I was a baby and my parents went to Florida. I started to think she was my Mother and got confused when my real Mom returned after her vacation. My fondest memories of Auntie Connie are Christmas Holidays at Brome and also the Brome summer visits. When I was a kid I think she scored for me a ride in one of the Snow Cats at Glen Mountain. I thought that was the coolest thing ever! Auntie Connie would visit our family here in Ottawa quite a bit over the years. I am thankful for the four beautiful children she gave birth to and raised. They have enriched my life more than most people know. I am thankful for the dogs she helped raised and take care of at Brome. My all time favorite dog ever was and is Max. She was very generous with her time for our family and I will be forever blessed and grateful for that. I always loved seeing her at family gatherings no matter the occasion. I will always remember you Auntie Connie. May God take care of you. Thank you for your life!

My sister Connie was truly a treasure in my life; especially growing up together. She was always a nurturing companion & some
times we often shared clothes as well as a bedroom. When she left home to get married & produced four wonderful
children, I always enjoyed my experience babysitting for her. I shall always remember the wonderful summer holidays I spent
with her in Brome and many Christmas turkey dinners with her and my nephews & nieces. My sister was a bright star in our
family. Will always cherish these many happy memories of her. God rest her beautiful soul.

What can I say about the love I had for this woman, my Mom’s sister and my dear Aunt? I have the best childhood memories of staying with her at Lake Selby and Brome, it was always a treat for me to spend time with her and my cousins. She was so similar to my Mom in many ways but had that little bit of carefree attitude that made her special! She made us all laugh, she was the first person to let me drive her car down the country roads and I was always touched by the great love she and my mom shared!
As an adult I moved out of Canada, but her many visits to Barbados and Florida were always a welcoming treat for our family over many many years. She was always up for an adventure, we took a cruise and swam with Manta rays once, she was a little timid but a small push and there she was having a ball! There wasn’t much she wasn’t up for whenever I suggested stuff to do! I loved her so dearly! After my Mom passed we were so sad and she helped fill that void I had in my heart ! I will miss her so much, as will all my family, Rest In Peace Auntie Connie and thank you for a lifetime of wonderful memories!
