I wish to extend my deepest condolences to Barbara's family and friends. Although I have not seen or spoken to Barbara for many years, I would like to share my relationship with her.
I was an avid decorative painting student of Barbara's back in the late 80's and through to the mid 90's. Myself and many others used to drive up to Cook's Bay Folk Art Studio on Lake Simcoe from Toronto and elsewhere and spend the day painting. What fun we had and will always remember our times with Barbara. Days of laughter and chatter, eating our lunches by the lake on beautiful sunny days and of course painting some of the most beautiful designs. Always remember her husband Jack at our beck and call and his creative woodworking pieces he made for all the students to paint on and never a word of complaint. Those were good times and sweet memories.

My condolences go to Barbara's family. Although I only met Barbara a couple of times, I still remember the wonderful visit I had with her in 2018 at her lovely apartment at Lakeside Residence, Innisfil. She had so many lovely things that she had created to decorate the apartment. And I really enjoyed her describing how she used simple types of instructions to faciliate her art students achieving success with their creations. We are so pleased to have obtained Barbara's story for the updated book of Innisfil's history to be published this summer, "2020 Historical Review - Town of Innisfil".
Sincerely, Diana Gendron, member Innisfil Historical Society

I just read the passing of Barb in our local newspaper here in Lefroy/Innisfil and am very sadden by her death. My late husband Craig and I lived on Limerick Street for about 20 years and we knew Barb and her late husband - Jack when they lived there. Remember going to her studio and purchasing some of her folk art that she did. Beautiful work! Barb and I also worked together during the provincial and federal elections, checking names off the lists. I would like to extend the sympathies for Paul Trenholme, who also lived on Limerick Street with his late wife - Carol who knew Barb and Jack quite well. Paul is currently living with his daughter Lorilei in Belleville. Barb was always well dressed, hair and make up done even if she was just going for walk on the street. Barb was quite the lady and will be missed.

I remember Barb well. I took my first art class with her in her studio at Cook's Bay. I loved it so much that I got my teenage daughter to go as well and we both did several of her classes. Barb was a wonderful teacher and a kind and caring woman. She had a long and well lived life and she will be missed. Our condolences to all of her family. Cindy Hill and family wish to express that our thoughts and love go out to Louise’s family, Gord, Elaine, Scott and Cherie. Our family has known Barb for at least 39 years. Barb’s talent for painting truly left many beautiful pieces of art created by both Jack and Barb. She was an amazing Nana to Stephanie and Jackie through the years. You will be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Barb and Cherie about 12 years at Barb's home. I had seen her name in the Innisfil Historic Society and found that she was married to my second cousin. I spent a wonderful afternoon with them and Barb shared her knowledge of the Edney family history.
Barb was a warm, friendly, sharing lady and she will be missed by many that she has touched throughout her life.
My sincere condolences to her family,
Alan Edney

Will miss Barb. She was one of my only connections to my Edney heritage. Barb gave me lots of information of my family history and made a beautiful album I will cherish. Also, for my wedding she gave me a bird that Jack had carved and she had painted. It is displayed proudly in my living room.
Sending hugs to all her children and Grandchildren as I am sure there is a huge hole in your heart losing such a loving Mom and Nana❤️
