Obituary of Michael Kavchak

It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Michael Kavchak. Mike passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Wednesday, September 30 2020 after a brief battle with cancer.  He was 78 years of age. 

“Dad” will be lovingly missed by his children Debra, Michael and Kevin, and their spouses Greg, Shannon and Amanda.  He will be remembered as “Dzedo” by his grandchildren Julianne, Samantha, Braden, Audrey and Nora. He will be sadly missed by his sister Mary, and was pre-deceased by his brother John. He is survived by his wife Elve. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members and many lifelong friends.

A private memorial service will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Bradford followed by interment at Holy Martyrs Cemetery, Bradford.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Craig Kung from the Department of Palliative Care at Southlake for his kindness, care and compassion during this difficult time.
