Obituary of William (Bill) Hughes

Peacefully passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 68 years of age.

Loving dad of Shannon (Rick) Grant and Lauren (Ryan) Coates. Proud grandpa of Benjamin, Hailey; and Owen. Dear brother of Marion (Lloyd) Thomas, and Maureen (Jim) Galliford. Dear uncle of Andrew (Jennifer) and Ryan (Anne) Thomas and their families. Bill will also be fondly remembered by many friends. 

Bill was a police officer for 33.5 years with Toronto Police Services who dedicated his career to serving the community.  He was a man with a million-dollar smile, contagious laugh, and a personality that people gravitated to.  He was a man who loved summer days at the cottage, with his family and close friends and a lover of all sports.  He will be greatly missed.

Private family gathering will be held.
