Although our lives eventually took different paths and we lost touch over the years, I look back fondly on the memories of our friendship.
When I was 18 and kicked out of the house Mike and his family took me in and treated me as one of their own.
Mike took me on my first camping trip to the Pinery. He got me started in golf, which I still enjoy to this day. We went to St. Martin together and did a road trip to Nova Scotia which was one of the best adventures of my life.
He had down home Nova Scotia charm and could make anyone feel welcome.
I was saddened to read of his passing in the local newspaper.
Rest in Peace Michael, perhaps we will meet again on the other side.

I have so many fond memories of Uncle Mike during my childhood. Jeff and I would always go to Nan and Uncle Mike's for sleepovers and Uncle Mike would always take us out back skating on the pond in the winter or hunting for frogs in the summer. He always made sure we had a smile on our face, making us laugh and telling us VERY believable stories about the drain monster! I will never forget the day he "caught" the drain monster in the basement, so I didn't have to be scared anymore. I also remember his love for golf and how it sparked a curiosity of the sport in me growing up. He would have Jeff and I clean his golf balls... anything for Uncle Mike!! No one will ever beat his "birthday" card giving. I will cherish those cards we sent back and forth over the years. Until we meet again Uncle Mike. Love you!

You were always patient with me when I was first starting out. You taught me a lot of things and fixed any mistakes I made. Thanks for everything.

There is no other Uncle like Uncle Mike ❤️ He is the best of the best. Always happy, and always up for a good time. He never missed a Birthday for us nieces and nephews, or our children ...and a cool gift of course. And famous for his “Dad’s cookies” always made sure he had them in his pocket for the little ones. He was so good to us. When he moved to Keswick, I’d bring him to any parties or gatherings I could talk him into, everyone loves fun Uncle Mike. Always a good laugh or a good conversation. Super Bowl Parties were the best!!! A guaranteed good time, and lots of laughs at Nans and Uncle Mikes house, anyone and everyone was welcome. There are so so many fond memories, good laughs, and the best stories ever told, I will forever cherish. Thank you for that Uncle Mike, you will be missed.

Mike was the brother I never had, we would talk on the phone for hours I always wanted him to upgrade his phone so we could FaceTime but anyone that knows Mike, he was not techy and refused to upgrade. He lived Nova Scotia, the ocean and the people. I convinced him when he bought his new house to buy a painting of the ocean which he did and had it above his bed so each night he could look at it before going to bed. He will be missed

As a child, many weekends were spent at Auntie and Michael's house. In the winter, Michael made sure that the pond was perfect for skating. He would have hockey sticks ready for a game and extra pairs of skates for anyone who just dropped in. In the summer, the grass was soft and always cut. The yard was perfect for playing in. Michael made sure that we had bread to feed the ducks, sports equipment to play with, or tell us the best hide and seek spots. He always made sure we had fun! Michael had the best Superbowl parties, and his chilli is legendary! I'm pretty sure it was Michael who taught me how to play poker at one of the many card games played around the table, during his parties. There were so many wonderful memories made that Michael was a part of, and for that I am truly greatful. My sincere condolences to Michael's family and friends.
Love,
Tara, Jason, and Abby Lacasse

My fondess memories of Mike is when my daughters where young. Mike loved children he would chase them outside, take them down to the pond to feed the ducks. At Christmas time he would play with them and there toys and as having two girls they would make him wear a hat or some part of a costum and he did happily. When they started school i would have Christmas parties for there classes, a lot of kids. So of course needed a Santa and Mike said he would try, well he was nervous but he was perfect and the kids just adord him. I will miss his smile and our shared love for Nova Scotia. Our thoughts and prayers to the family Beth & Fred Lynn
