Obituary of Anastasios "Taso" Trimis

It is with profound sadness that we announce that our beloved Anastasios “Taso” Trimis passed away with his family by his side on July 8th, 2021 at the age of 75 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Christina; by his children: Liz, Chris, Tina, Rob, and Georgia; his grandchildren: Christina, Nicholas, Matthew, Julia, and Isabella; his siblings: Aleko, Toula, Niko, Dimitri, Zoe and their spouses; and numerous other family and friends. He is predeceased by his loving parents and brother, George. Taso was born in Kryoneri Olympias, Greece. He moved to Canada in 1969. He was an airport limousine driver from 1974-2020, he was hardworking and a dedicated man to his job. He was a proud Grandfather to his grandchildren, as they were his pride and joy. He enjoyed watching soccer, basketball, and spending time with family and friends. He was a very passionate, avid hunter, and storyteller that made others laugh. He will be missed, and forever held in the hearts of many.

In Taso's memory, donations may be made to to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic if you wish to visit the family at the funeral home an appointment needs to be made by phone to attend the visitation. Please contact Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford by phone (905-775-3335 or 1-800-209-4803) on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to book a time to visit with the Trimis family on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The family regrets not being able to have all of Taso's family and friends join them for the funeral mass due to Covid-19 restrictions. A private funeral mass will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Bradford followed by interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford.
