Obituary of Ryley James Edmund Copeland

It is with great heartache that we share word of the sudden passing of Ryley on Sunday, August 22, 2021.  Precious son of Doug and Lori Copeland and dear brother of Anna.  Loved beyond words by his fiancé Hailey Knights.  Dearly loved grandson of Bev and late Murray McNamara, and late Doug and late Lil Copeland.  Cherished by his aunt Eleanor (David) and uncles Terry (Leigh), Warren (Shelley) and late Glenn.  Deeply missed by his cousins, by his extended family, and by Fred, Libby and the Knights family who so warmly and lovingly welcomed Ryley into their lives and with such generosity gave him a second family to love and be part of.  Always to be remembered and loved by his many friends, by his co-workers, and last but by no means least by his big boy Marv. 

Ryley freely opened his heart to all who met him, caring deeply, and with the sincerest of desire to be there for others when they needed it most.  He loved the life he was building with Hailey whom he adored, and the days became even more special when Marv arrived to join them in it. His warmth, his sense of humour and fun, and his unbreakable determination captured and enthralled us all. Ryley, an incredible force and spirit throughout his all too short life – his presence will be forever felt and will be with us always.  Thank you to all who supported Ryley over the years and to all who continue to hold him in their hearts.
