We all share a presences in the lives around us. Sometimes that presences is large. Uncle Butch was one of those. He lived, laughed and loved with that extra little bit extra. He travelled the world with the love of his life. In his later years he seem to take up cooking and seemed to really enjoy it. There was nothing small about Uncle Butch from his laugh to his love. This will be a huge adjustment for all who loved him. I am sure he will be watching over all.
Rest in peace and love Uncle Butch

To-day as I write this my heart is broken in two at the lost of a cherished brother and a FRIEND. He was my baby brother my rock when things were not going good for me in my life, one call and he was there for me. We travelled to-gether, camped, cottage trips to Haliburton and he gave me a trip of a lifetime a few years ago with Linda to the Kentucky Derby. I don't know of a kinder, caring man who touched so many peoples lives in so many ways. To say he will be missed is a understatement and I for one will MISS his laughter, smile and humor and just being my little brother.
Love ya to the moon and back.
Barb

So very sad to hear of the passing of Uncle Butch. Always friendly to us kids and ready with a big hug. Smart and with a hearty laugh, he was someone to make sure you chatted with at a family function.
Our family is unique, most people I know, have not had the chance to get to know their Great Aunts/Uncles very well, but we are lucky to spend time together almost twice a year for most of my life. He always had all the coolest toys in his garage and when my son came to visit, Aunt Linda brought out the trucks for my son to play with.
We will miss you Uncle Butch at our dinners but know you're always there in spirit.
Love,
Amanda and Daniel xo

Share a memory of my Uncle Butch …I honestly don’t know if anyone that knew him could pick just one…to me as a little girl he was Superman and Batman and he could lift a car…he was invincible…my Uncle Butch was always the life of the party…a man who walked in the room and lit it up…I’ve thought of so many memories writing this…my last memory a couple weeks ago there he sits with a bunch of us all gathered around him…even though he wasn’t feeling good…one last time he was the life of the party…
I luv ya Uncle Butch …thanks for the memories

At any family gathering you could hear that familiar laugh, roar and "are you busy?". You knew if you got closer you too would be laughing right along with him and the crowd that circled him. That was his super power in my books. That and his meatballs. :) l am sad to see you go, but for sure l will hear your laughter at our family gatherings. A life well lived when so many say "Gone too soon". Love ya Uncle Butch. Xo
