Obituary of Michael Joseph Defreitas

After years of suffering, Michael has found his new home in the Almighty. Leaving us far too soon, Michael lived a life of truth and love, with a deep passion and understanding of how to live a life for the other; his life’s dedication to his work will be his legacy and his hope for humanity to live together lead by love, as a community. He came far before his time. 

Beloved son of Raul and Donna De Freitas, cherished brother to Ashley (John) De Freitas-Hammersley and Jordan (Morgan) De Freitas, adoring titi to Matthew. He will also be lovingly remembered by his many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly and will miss him deeply. He also leaves behind his precious and loved canine companion Maggy.

Due to Covid 19 restriction a private funeral service will be held Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Bradford followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill. 

Livestreaming of the funeral service will be available on the funeral home website on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 11 a.m. A link will be provided on this webpage Tuesday morning.
