Obituary of Althea Mortson
Althea peacefully passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in her 103rd year.
Beloved wife of the late Percy Mortson. Dear mother of Olive (Jim) Couper, David and late Nancy. Dear grandmother of Sheila Gallant, Debbie (late Dan) Underwood, and Linda (Kevin) McKenna. Dear great grandmother of Sydney Gallant; Couper and Connor Underwood; Hannah, Zachary, Owen, Addison and Izzy McKenna. Althea will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Roy, Amy, Olive and Stan. Special thanks to her PSW, Omotayo “Tayo”.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private family service will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Mt. Albert followed by interment at Mt. Albert Cemetery.
In Althea’s memory, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation or to the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre at Southlake Regional Health Centre.
