Obituary of Maria Caietta

Peacefully passed away with family at her side at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 78 years of age. Beloved wife of Andrea Caietta. Loving mother of Josie (Dino) Ascenzi and predeceased by Rosa and Vita. Proud Nonna of Maria-Kristina (fiancé Matthew Peverini), Jessica and Andrea. Dear sister of Paola (late Salvatore) Cipponeri, Giuseppe (Giovanna) Ingoglia, Alberto (Maria) Ingoglia and Larry (Pina) Ingoglia. Dear sister-in-law of Joe (Olimpiya) Caietta, Tony (Carolyn) Caietta, Pina (late Nino) Gammicchia, Paul (Diana) Caietta and late Frank Caietta. Maria will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families.

A public visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Due to Covid restrictions only 60 guests will be allowed in the funeral home at a time (no appointment is necessary). Masks and social distancing will be required.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions a private Funeral Mass, by invitation will be held at Holy Martyrs of Japan Church, Bradford. A private Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill.

For those unable to attend the Funeral Mass livestream of the service will be available on the Holy Martyrs of Japan YouTube channel on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11 a.m.
