It is impossible to condense our thoughts and love for this wonderful into a few paragraphs. Our list of memories extends over many decades.
The times we spent together were filled with laughter and joy. Listening to his stories, and how he told them, was entertainment in itself (even if he repeated them more than once.) He made us feel like we were sharing the experience.
We loved exploring Canada with Chris & Dan over the years. Whether he was making moose calls in Cape Breton to lure the animals closer, or telling tall tales of red headed woodpeckers, Dan was a delight to be with. He had a youthful exuberance for life; ringing the church bell in the middle of a field in Manitoba and running away with a mischievous grin or hamming it up in front of the Dildo Run Park sign in Newfoundland, he was always ready for an adventure.
It is difficult to think of Christine without her beloved Danny. They were such a dynamic couple - they enhanced each other, supported each other, and loved each other. Their relationship was inspiring.
His love for his family and friends was without limits. Dan was incredibly proud of his three daughters, and all of his grandchildren.
It is hard to imagine he is gone. We are so much better for having known him, and loved him. We are so grateful that he left us with a lifetime of memories.
Dan will always be with us in our hearts, and memories. Love endures.
