Saddened to hear of the passing of my lifelong friend Tom. We went through all our school years together right up to my wedding where Tom was my best man. Tom made laugh - often at the most inappropriate times and our memories we shared I will cherish. These past few years through his health struggles Tom always kept a positive outlook. Tom, my good friend...you will be missed!
My sincere condolences to Tom's family.

So sorry to hear that Tom has passed.. too
Early. He was such a fun part of our stage productions at Thomson C.I. getting the tech co-ordinated and up and running, relating to the students and being patient with our many tricky production ideas, always in good humour and putting in many overtime hours. My condolences to his family. Shirley Turchet ( Thomson C.I. 1974-87)

Tom's contribution to the life and spirit of David and Mary Thomson Collegiate went far beyond the job description of his role as Audio-Visual Coordinator for the school. He was involved in the athletic, social and auditorium activities and snapped countless photographs for posterity to admire and remember. The painted mural on the wall outside the auditorium at the old school (now alas a victim of the wrecking ball) included Tom with a camera dangling from his neck. And in his early days, his announcements over the school's P.A. system invariably began with, "Hello. I'm Tom Adams and you're not!" Alas for all of us, he's "not" any more.
Requiescat in pace, amice carissime.

I'm one of many people from David and Mary Thomson Collegiate who worked with Tom-- and we treasure our memories of his energy, his passion for music, and his outrageous sense of humour. Working school and weekend events for Tom was one of my first teenage jobs in the 1980s-- which had the side benefit of getting Tom to record me dozens of cassette tapes from his enviable vinyl collection. I found a love for bands like the Rolling Stones, the Kinks, the Who, and Pink Floyd through the recommendations of Tom Adams. He was always ready with his enthusiasm for another classic band, another obscure album, or another truly inappropriate joke! Tom, you will be missed.

So many good memories of Tom as the best soccer coach in Uxbridge, starting when Sean and Spencer were about 4 years old. We especially remember it as we sponsored the team for many years, he made it was so much fun. Tom made me a CD of ‘dinner music’ which I still have! Such a great guy. Wishing you all the best Sean, I’m sure you will follow in your dads footsteps and carry on all his passions. Taina, Jim and Spencer AndrewS
