Jacqueline McGowan( Joyce's youngest sister) from Troon, Scotland married to Frank McGowan I have 4 daughters
When I saw Joyce's photo, the memory of the day she left Scotland came flooding back. I was 13 years old and I was very upset when she left as I did not know when I would ever see her again! In those days Canada seemed so far away.It was about 10 years before we met again when my father was ill.However we kept in touch by letter then phone. Over the years as a family we kept in touch with our brothers and sisters despite the fact I was in Scotland Joyce and Moira were in Canada, Anne,Frank and Tommy were in Australia.Another memory was when we all met in Australia as a family in1996 when Tommy was terminally ill. In spite of the reason we were there, it was a really happy occasion for us all as family contact was important to us.Thank you Joyce for this
