Reading all the tributes from former colleagues and every one has hit the nail on the head. Mark was a thorough professional, great at his job and a fine human being to whom family was everything. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, and at such a young age. While I live in BC and was unable to be there yesterday, I was certainly there in spirit.

Dear Candice and Kevin, I was very shocked and saddened to hear of your Dad's passing. Mark and I worked together for over 34 years. He trained me in my current job as Coordinator. He was very patient, and I learned a lot from him. His sense of humour kept us all going over the years. I think he could have done stand-up comedy - he found humour everywhere. I always remember how proud he was of the both of you, and of his grandkids. His eyes would light up whenever he talked about you. I enjoyed talking about Golf and Curling with him, and I actually went to Varadero after hearing about his trips. We will all miss him dearly, but are very grateful to have known him and worked with him. My deepest condolences to the entire family. Sabina (Donnelly) Davis.

Such fond memories I have of Mark from our days at Fanshawe College. He was a great classmate/friend and a whole lot of fun. My thoughts are with his family.

Candice and Kevin, I worked with your Dad for many years. Professionally he was just that. Your Dad was very well respected by his crews for his quick and confident decision making. He had a high pressured job that he made look easy... and fun! He seemed to thrive at it. We should all be so lucky to work at something we love!
He was such a kind and considerate friend. I always really enjoyed our chats. But, I could never get away without hearing a story showing his love and pride in you both. It always left me with a huge smile.
He will be so greatly missed.
My sincere condolences.

My deepest condolences to Candice and Kevin. Mark always talked about you two, and all you accomplished, and was so proud of who you were and what you became as adults.
Hearing of Mark's passing was a shock. I've worked with him from my first day of TSN, just after Candice was born, and he always had a story to tell to keep the long hours interesting and fun.
He will always be remembered by all who worked with him, and know that his children and grandchildren made him the proudest man on the planet.

I first met Mark back in 1983 when we worked together at First Choice Television. We then joined TSN together prior to launch day as the first of four Master Control Technical Directors. As he transitioned to TSN's first presentation coordinator, we worked closely together and spent countless hours in the control room talking about every subject imaginable. I remember Mark excitedly telling me he was having a baby and how he looked forward to being a father. He was so very proud of Kevin and Candice and would talk about them at every opportunity. He was especially happy when he became a grandfather. Mark was a very sociable and affable character who will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. My sincere condolences to his family.

I worked with Mark as my partner in TSN Master for 4 years. He loved to laugh, play golf and spend time in the garage “vortex” with friends. Most of all, he adored Kevin and Candice and always beamed when he spoke of them. I hadn’t seem Mark in the last 4 years, but I can only imagine how much joy his grandchildren brought him. My deepest condolences.
