Obituary of Violet Ann Poitras

With a heavy heart we inform you that our mom Violet peacefully passed away at Bradford Valley Care Community

on Saturday February 04, 2023, at 91 years of age.

Violet was the daughter of Charles Lusk and Mabel (nee Green). She was the loving sister of 13 siblings.

Violet was preceded by her husband Yens Poitras.

 

Mom you are our favourite flower… Violet.

 

You loved, cared, and catered to all.

You picked up hitchers and gave them money. You helped in the community and answered to every call.

 

Your beautiful smile, laughter, and warmth of love

will be missed, but you will fly with the angels, dropping little love notes like a dove.

(Mom always had a wicked sense of humour…)

 

Oh, how our hearts will ache with not hearing your voice of sound.

But all we have to do is look to the sun and the stars to know you are around.

 

Your grown children Mike Poitras (Linda), Paul Poitras and Vivian Wallace (Robert) are left behind.

But now you are no longer confined in your mind.

 

You will be greatly missed.

 

We love you mom, our pretty Violet.

 

In Violet’s memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice.

 

As per Violet’s wishes there will be no public funeral.

 

 A private celebration of life will occur later in the summer.
