My deepest condolences to Jeanne and family. Spent a lot of time with Jeanne and Paul in the late 1970s. We went all over the place to watch PGA golf, baseball games, football, hockey, and skiing. Chinese food followed by 10 pin bowling every week; and on Saturday over to their place to watch Hockey Night in Canada, play euchre and watch Saturday Night Live. Thank you to Paul for awakening my continued interest in all those sports, and my heartfelt sorrow for his family. He was definitely one of a kind.

I have such fond memories of Paul during my years at Downsview Secondary School. I remember his days playing hockey for Duffield as does my husband who played for Young Canadians…..what a rivalry that was! Everyone at DSS knew Paul and it seems that he in return knew everyone. I hope that his family takes comfort in knowing that the wonderful person you knew, was the same person we remember in his youth. Rest in peace Paul, you were taken far too soon. My sympathies to all of his family and loved ones.

My Condolences to Jeanne and to all of the Dossey family. I grew up with Paul while going to school at St. Rapheals, St Roberts and St Norberts and later at Downsview. We played Ball with Duffield boys club with the guidance of his father. Our mothers were friends while they both worked at Yorkdale. Paul was a true sports enthusiast including golf, baseball and of course his passion Hockey. We also bowled together for several years. Through all Paul was a joy to be with and always competitive. He will truly be missed

It is impossible for me to sum up what this man has meant to his friends and family. He ran our golf tournament for over 40 years and we will be renaming it the Paul Dossey Memorial after him. He loved his family and spoke of all of them whenever I spoke to him. He was so proud of Geoff and Melissa and all the grandkids but most of all to his wonderful wife Jeanne. Goodbye my friend and thanks for introducing me to so many great people.

My heartfelt condolences to Jeanne, Melissa, Geoff and the entire extended family. I first met Paul in the 80’s through Jeanne. He was a kind and extremely funny man. I will always remember the story about Paul’s frustration with the TV remote constantly going missing- so he started taking it to work with him in his briefcase each day!, I have enjoyed being connected via Facebook and getting to see his beautiful family and their experiences together. Cheers to a life well lived - although far too short. Sincerely, Beth Allen

My sincere condolences and deepest sympathy with the loss of Paul. I have known and been a friend of Paul for decades through our love and passion for golf, and participating in the Brighton Open Golf Tournament which he ran. (I was known as Johnny Noname). We would have multiple conversations about the competitive levels of hockey within the province. As my son was a goalie in Double & Triple "A", Paul always showed an interest into his progression to the Major levels. Refering to golf, Paul and I shared many good times and laughs. He will be sadly missed by all who he touched, and shared a moment of time.
My heart goes out at this difficult time. Wishing you peace, comfort, love and courage at this time of sorrow.

I'm so sorry to hear about Paul. He was my boss back in the 80's. Like others, he had a nickname for me - Inch. He was a devoted young father at the time. Always talking about his kids. I remember when he got his 'dish' which allowed him to watch his WWE. At Christmas he looked far and wide for a King Kong Bundy doll for his daughter. Sent a staff member to search and told him not to come back without that doll. He was such a character - huge personality, funny and warm. My heartfelt condolences to Paul's family.

On behalf of the Bradford Minor Baseball Association, please accept our sincerest condolences on the passing of Paul. He was dedicated to his community, had a love for sport and worked tirelessly to make the minor hockey association that much stronger for players, coaches and families. His passion and giving kids a stage in which to play will always be remembered and his commitment to the Town of Bradford will never be forgotten. During this difficult time, our Association hopes that family and friends can find comfort in knowing that Paul's sports family across many associations here in town are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

Our family's deepest condolences to Jeanne, Melissa and Geoff and the grandkids.
My husband and Paul have known each other for over 50 years. They haven't talk in years, but he does remember going to school at St. Norberts and hanging out with the gang (Dave P., Rob C., Frank just to name a few).
Even my Dad remembers the Dossey family (hockey). He will be greatly missed by the Bradford Minor Hockey group and other sports related groups in the Bradford area.

My most sincere condolences to all of you. I have fond memories of Paul, while in high school, he sat behind me in Physics class. When I got my driver's license, he would tease me and call me "AJ", a reference to a race car driver at that time.
While I hadn't seen Paul and Jeanne in years, we would follow each others lives on facebook, which has alway meant a lot to me, living so far away from friends I grew up with.
Rest easy old friend, you will be dearly missed.

I didn't know Paul before joining the Board of Bradford Minor Hockey; but he is such a genuine and honest man we instantly connected. He always had patience and time for anyone trying to help hockey.
He knew everyone in hockey; not just Bradford Hockey, and had a story about all of them.
The rink will feel empty without Paul.
Our heart goes out to Jeanne, Melissa and the whole family

I am in complete shock over the news of Paul's passing. My deepest condolences to the entire Dossey family.
I will hold my cherished childhood memories of Paul close to my heart. We grew up on Winston Pk Blvd. and attended St. Norbert School & Downsview Secondary School. He was the "popular guy" that everyone wanted to be friends with. I smile when I think of the fun we had, but sad to think of how young he was taken away.
Rest in peace Paul

My sincere condolences on the passing of Paul. Great memories hanging out at your home and having fun times with all the friends in the neighbourhood. I last saw Paul at our ball hockey game a few years in the old hood and it so wonderful to catch with him. Paul gave me my famous nickname "Bagels" which stuck with me for many years. May his memories be a blessing.
Paul perhaps you and Uli can now hang out together like old times. Perhaps you can scout a nice area to have our ball hockey games.
Sincerely
Howard Birken

We are truly sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I went to elementary school as well as high school with Paul. We have been friends since grade 3. My husband also went to high school with Paul and also was one of the neighbourhood boys who got together when they were older to play ball hockey at Anthony Road school. We both send our thoughts and love to Pauls family.
