Obituary of Manuel Matos

Peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family with love and light on Wednesday June 28, 2023 at 87 years of age.

Beloved father of Tony (Mary) Matos, Maria (John) Mete, late Joseph Matos, and Elizabeth (late Paulo Jorge) Cabral. Proud grandfather of Anthony, Joshua, Daniel, Jesse, Sara, Brianna, and Hailey. Cherished great grandfather of Josie. Survived by his sister Leonilde. Predeceased by his wife Herminia. Manuel will also be fondly remembered by extended family and friends in Canada and São Jorge.

Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford on Monday July 3, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Martyrs of Japan Church, 167 Essa Street, Bradford on Tuesday July 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Martyrs of Japan Cemetery, Bradford.
