Obituary of Elizabeth Hazel Robshaw
Elizabeth Hazel Robshaw, May 25th, 1927 - November 24th, 2023
In Loving Memory
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dearly beloved "Queen" who passed away peacefully on November 24th, 2023, at Bradford Valley Nursing Home, in her 96th year, surrounded by family.
She will be forever missed by her daughter Susan, grandchildren Natalie, Brad, Matt and Mike, her great grandchildren Amber, Zack, Penny, Hazel, Hannah, Mya and Greyson, sister Irene Hartley, and all her family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Bill, sons Steve and Bill Robshaw, sister Patricia Hamill, brother James Spittle, and her parents Sophia and Stanley Spittle.
Elizabeth lived in Toronto for most of her life. She was married to Bill and they had 3 children. She moved to Aurora in 2000 to be near her daughter and her family.
Elizabeth was a strong, independent, and outgoing Mom, Grandma and GG. Always positive, funny, and full of life. You could always count on my Mom to liven up family gatherings and was always very involved in her children's lives. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, attending school events, camping, cottaging, apple picking, swimming lessons and cheering them on at games. She loved the beach, swimming, gardening, listening to music and working on crafts.
Elizabeth moved to Bradford Valley Nursing Home in 2019. They welcomed her with open arms, affectionately calling her "Queen", and Bradford Valley quickly became her new home. My Mom was a character, always upbeat and positive, entertaining the staff with her antics and sense of humour.
Thank you Mom for all the wonderful memories we will treasure forever. We will miss you always.
Many thanks to the staff at Heritage House. Your kindness, care and welcoming spirit was much appreciated by our family.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
