Dearest Sue & family:
We were saddened by the sudden passing of Joe. Joe and I worked together for many years at Teradata and he was the bright spot in the office; adored by his friends, loved by his family and never to be forgotten by his clients. We shared many hours travelling together and it was a pleasure to be in his company. Goodbye my friend; you will be truly missed.

Dear Sue, Becca, Nessa, Mike and all of your family:
We are very saddened to learn of Joe's passing. I have many fond memories of both Joe and you, Sue, from high school. Joe was a good friend to many, a wonderful husband, caring father and grandfather and we know he will be missed beyond measure.

Like others I am shocked and saddened by this news. But I cannot help but also smile thinking of Joe. He is possibly the only person I have ever known to be completely loved by all. Also one of the best to have life/work in complete balance. Have not seen Joe for decades but the Honeywell days were full of rich memories and Joe will have no lack of curry luncheons and fishing expeditions amongst those in his new digs. Harry Eaglesham

Where to start. The DelTins bought their cottage the same year we purchased ours. We were neighbours for 31 years. Every spring we would stand on our docks and talk across the water bringing each other up to date. Joe's dad and mom would be there to help open up and Pop would walk the road, picking mushrooms for Mom to make her spaghetti sauce. We watched our kids grow up and become adults. Joe would head out in his boat and without fail come back with a string of fish. We sold our place a few years back. We miss the place and we miss Joe and Sue. Joe always had a smile and a positive attitude. May he rest in peace. Goodbye old friend.

My earliest memories are of my big brother Joey / Pino. He was my hero and I felt safe and confident when he was with me. Relatives and friends remember us as a duo - as kids we were always together (why he wanted to be with his little brother escapes me but I'm sure there was a sense of responsibility that he felt). Joe looked after his parents (acting as interpreter and advocate - even at a very young age) and his little brother (taking me to movies, The Ex, bowling, fishing, to Nova Scotia, .....).
I miss him. I don't have that secure feeling of having Joey in the background anymore.
Rest in Peace Bro. You left behind a loving wife, children and grandchildren to carry on your family-centered legacy.
Obviously, Mama misses you more than can be imagined. I'll be there for her as you were before you left us.
We all will think of you daily. You'll never leave our hearts and minds.
Thanks for the care, the laughter and the guidance.

Sue and Joe's kids and grandkids, I'm deeply shocked and saddened by Joe's passing. I knew he had some challenges but we made plans to connect after Christmas. I've known Joe since the late 70's thru our many career, time in Newmarket and life events. If there is ANYTHING I can do for your family please don't hesitate to tell me. BTW my cottage is about 1.5 hours away from yours.

The news of Joe’s passing is very sad and distressing.
Having known Joe since the early 70’s at Honeywell he was truly a great friend. In our trips to Boston and all-around Toronto he was an absolute pleasure to be with. Ever the consummate professional and he had the best sense of humour including his “Fr. Guido Sarducci”. Even though Joe brought his gun we never did get anything on our ATV trip. Our friendship lasted over all our personal and professional endeavours and jobs at many companies over 50 years. Joe was deeply involved with his children and grandchildren, and we often shared our mutual family experiences and events as our children grew. Lunches with Joe and several colleagues were always unforgettable experiences and time between them passed like it was only a couple of days. Having just made plans in November to get together after Christmas it is truly sad that it will never be.
I will miss you greatly.

I wanted to add my condolences as well. Sad that he's gone. I knew Joe for about 30 years as a business relationship and as a customer in the technology world at times. I remember a couple of business trips we took together in places like Arizona a long time ago now in his Honewell days. I always enjoyed talking and working with him. He will be missed. My dear friend Joe Deltin passed away suddenly on January 10th I am sad to say.. It was shattering news to hear. I had seen Joe at a Honeywell curry luncheon in mid-December and we had enjoyed a big bear hug to say goodbye that day.
Joe was a special friend of mine, and my children spent many a happy weekend at the DelTins cottage over many summers. My son James on Vancouver Island was very sad to hear the news as he recalls those days. Joe worked with me in four different companies and we had a great experience together in life and business
I have many memories of Joe and Sue at the Million Dollar Club trips with his smile and laugh resonating always. His cigar and brandy at night finished the day.
Joe was a great human being with not a mean bone in his body: a great father, grandfather, and family man.

I gave Joe a brief shoulder massage when I first saw him at an ex-Honeywell lunch in Markham on December 8. It was good to see him and the others. I would never have thought it would be our last time. I extend my condolences to Susan, the Del Tin Family and Joe's Mom in particular. Joe will be dearly missed. He was always upbeat, thinking of others, savouring everything culinary and enjoying the well-earned seasons of his retirement. So long, good friend. May you Rest In Peace.
