We are so saddened to hear that Gord has passed away and wish to express our condolences to Jessie, Clayton, Tina and Jessica. Gord was the most genuine, friendly and down to earth guy that you could ever meet. He was always ready to lend a hand, and we will always remember the fun times we had as neighbours on Simcoe Ave. There are so many stories that we will never forget that Gord played a part in. Please ensure to let us know about if you hold a Celebration of Life so we can be there to honour Gord.

Since "sharing a memory" is a feature here i wanted to give my condolences to everyone who knew Gord. and share this brief look into his life. Gordon is remembered with fond memories by the mother of his children Melissa and his step son Christopher. The 3 of us started out from small town Westville Nova Scotia 37 years ago and came to make a life in Ontario Over those years we watched our children grow into amazing adults. and then we were blessed to become proud grandparents of our Lyllah!
When Gordon and I were attending Jessies long labour and pre delivery , we had several hours and several coffee & smoke breaks outside so it made for a lot of time to talk. We marvelled at how fast that time went by that Chris Jessie & Clayton, along with the blended family members, had all grown up to become adults so fast and how we had so much happiness in seeing them grow up. Now we were being promoted to Grandparents!.
We were so excited, to soon meet our beautiful Grand Daughter . We were filled with joy about her arrival. and excitment for Jessie experiencing her first time birth. We were so proud of Jessie becoming a first time Mom. and we were proud of her for being strong while carrying Lyllah and being brave all through her delivery experience. we had a whole new line of gifts we could give her now. that is things that say 'mom' on them.
Gord often enjoyed hearing people say that his son Clayton looks a lot like him. that Clayton has some of his dad's mannerisums. Gord was proud of Claytons committment and loyality to family. He always knew he could count His son Clayton when he needed a hand with some thing. He had peace and comfort knowing that if he ever really needed someone to give a hand on short notice he would call on Clayton and Clayton would be there rain or shine and give his all for his Dad.
Gord was 'Dad" to Christopher who was 2 years old when they met back in Nova Scotia. Some of Chris's first words were "crazy Gordon" lol Chris would put on Gords rubber boots and try to follow in Him around often falling down so we got matching rubber boots he was delighted to have a pair of his own just like Gordons. Gordon taught Chris the most important job of a Dad, which is teaching him how boys do their wee standing up outside.lol it was hillarious. its difficult to loose someone who has shared so many impacts in life..
Gordons life was a blessing on all who knew him. He was a fearless driver to go anywhere all over Ontario to Nova Scotia and back. . He was a hard working man for is entire adult life. And was working even up to His last weeks. He was honest sincere & up front to his family, many friends and aquaintences and customers. Gord was living proof of who you see is who you get. there was no fake side of Gordon. He had the bravery to live on His own terms. I share in your sorrow and pray that God comforts you. May God bless Gordon & celebrate His soul in Heaven.
