Sorry to hear of your loss Peggy. Ted was such a wonderful and caring man. He certainly did the Brown family proud.
It was an honor to work at Parkview Transit and for the Brown family. Ted and his brothers set the standard for the school bus industry very high.

If Bob were here he would be remembering the Vandorf store and how he met the "Brown boys" - Ted and Doug. I saw how much their friendship meant to him and when we married, they were ushers at our wedding. Condolences to Doug and Harold and all of Ted's family during this time of sadness and loss. May he rest in peace.

To Peggy and family. We are thinking about all of you and sending our deepest condolences. Tom and I remember sharing fun dinners out together and the time Ted drove the four of us to the Globe in a blinding snow storm. Ted loved to drive no matter what the condition's were like. We remember his passion for his cars, tractors and toys. He had an electric personality wanting everyone to enjoy his passion and stories. Wishing you peace during this difficult time.

Dear Peggy, Harold, Alice and Family,
I was saddened to learn of the passing of your husband Peggy and your brother Harold. I always remember Ted’s welcoming persona whenever you took me by his home to see him and his vintage cars along with his incredible collection of toys. Over the last number of years it was also so nice to see him at our Thornhill Cruisers Car Club Meets on Monday nights. He would drive down to see our cars and then move on to visit with old friend, the late Bill Brown. May the family only have happy and fond memories of you in the years ahead. RIP Ted.

Dear Peggy, Doug and family I have such fond memories of a child with mom driving for the Brown brother's at Parkview Transit. Ted approached mom and asked when her girls were old enough to drive. Well I started washing those forty foot buggers lol then a few months later at twenty one began training. It was the beginning of my life in the busing business, in the days where Ted had your back and stood by the drivers. Where his brother Doug was my other boss in the shop definitely the Ying to each others yang. I have always and will forever share my start thirty seven years ago. I will remember fondly running into Ted and having breakfast in Bradford. To many memories of an amazing man and family owned business to mention. May the adventure continue in that Parkview Transit Bus in the sky. XXXX

Family by chance and friends by choice. Ted and I had a unique friendship. We could talk about anything, disagree, debate and laugh. Then go for lunch. We had many common interests. Antiques and auctions. Once we landed home with two truckloads and two trailer loads, just because. When Peggy asked how much that cost, his answer was "2 bucks". And so, the legend was born.
Kathy, my wife, and I always remember the appreciation he showed to us and to others.Every time I pull a toonie from my pocket, I think of him. I encourage everyone to carry a toonie. He will be remembered and you will never be broke.
He will be missed.
Fair winds and following seas my friend.

I have many memories of Uncles Ted and Doug and my dad getting together to work on one of their projects. These usually involved 45 minutes of deliberation and planning followed by 5 minutes of actual work. There would be a bit of cussing and a lot of laughing. When the dust finally settled on another job done, one of them would declare it was “just like downtown in the big stores” and then they’d all sit down to pie and ice cream. What an amazing way to spend time with the people you love. You will be sadly missed and thought of often UncleTed. Sending much love, Greg

Farewell Uncle Ted. You were one of the most genuine people I have have known. Your friendship with Harry was monumental and you helped me immensely in business. I have had very few mentors in my life but Ted, Doug and Harold Brown top the list. Rest in peace my friend. - David Hunt
