Denis passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his lake home on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 77 years.
Born to Luigi Peres and Nora (nee Feroci), Denis was a long-time resident of Sudbury and moved to the Lake Simcoe area of Innisfil in the latter part of his retirement.
Beloved husband of Darlene (nee Boyuk) for 52 years. Loving dad of late Chris, Greg (Heather), and David (Carlin). Proud Nonno of Jonathan, Steven, Thomas, Elsa, and Marlowe. Dear brother of late Adele (late Pierino) Titon. Dear uncle of Angela (Michael) and Olivia (David) and their families; and Michael (Mark).
He was a proud graduate of St. Charles College and went on to study at the University of Toronto as well as Laurentian University in Sudbury. In his professional career, Denis was a successful entrepreneur and business owner who was always willing to help others and share his knowledge and as such was very well known and well respected within the Sudbury construction community.
Denis loved spending time with his family and made annual fly-in fishing trips with his sons for several years creating memories to last a lifetime. He was also technologically savvy and ahead of his time and in retirement became a very active gamer many times surprising his younger peers in the gaming community with his impressive capabilities.
A true family man, he leaves behind a legacy of love; a man that was always ready with great advice who wished the best for everyone.
Private family arrangements will be held.
In Denis' memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
