Obituary of Ira Norman Coates

Peacefully passed away at Cedarvale Lodge, Keswick with family at his side on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 92 years of age.

Beloved husband of late Lorna Coates. Loving father of Richard (Mary) Coates, Wendy (William) Pickrell and Randy Coates. Proud Papa Ira of Nathaniel, Reuben; Jamie-Lee (Craig) and Brianne (Sean). Cherished Great Papa Ira of Emery, Evander, Hannah, Ellie and Calvin. Survived by his sisters-in-law Evelyn McGuckin, Marilyn (Dennis) Galan and brother-in-law Bob Miller. Ira will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends.

A visitation will be held at Holt Free Methodist Church, 19198 McCowan Rd., Holt on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 12 noon until the time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment at Mt. Albert Cemetery.
