Obituary of Irene Copeland

It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of Irene Copeland, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully left this world on Thursday, October 17th, 2024 at Matthew’s House Hospice in Alliston, after her courageous fight with cancer.

Irene lived her life in her own unique way, always marching to the beat of her own drum. She was a charismatic soul, and those who knew her understood that she was happiest when enjoying the things she loved most; her family, classic rock music, and cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays.

She was a proud mother to her daughters, Lesley Copeland (Sean McPherson) and Ashley Copeland, and an adoring "Nana" to Lachlan, Lincoln, and Lilyah. Irene's pride in her family was clear, and she found so much joy in watching her grandchildren grow. Her love for them will always be remembered.

Irene is survived by her siblings, Andrew Kolodij and Sylvia Arthur, both of Bradford.

Irene’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
