Obituary of Michael Corey Allen

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Corey Allen on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024. He passed away peacefully in his home with his wife by his side. 

Michael was born on October 17th, 1961, the 9th of 11 children to parents Claude Arthur (1924~2000) and Joyce Ella (1931~2020). He met and fell in love with his wife Elizabeth "Liz" (Hoving)  and married on August 20th,1994. Michael was well known for his ability to make friends wherever he went, often good-naturedly teased for his gift of the gab and inability to stop himself from striking up a conversation with whomever crossed his path. He had a deep love for animals, most especially his keen connection with dogs, being outdoors fishing and camping, and spending time with those he loved. He was brother to 10 siblings, brother-in-law to 8 siblings and a dear Uncle to his numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years Elizabeth Allen, daughter Crystal (Dan) Nicholson, son Joshua Allen and granddaughter Evelyn Lee Nicholson. We will miss his light, laughter and love dearly.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11 a.m., with visitation 1 hour prior to.  The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, a donation may be given to the Newmarket OSCPA in his honour. Thank you.
