Obituary of John Daurio
It is with great sadness that his four sons who were cherished by their father, John Joseph Daurio, have come together to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of their beloved father. John passed Before 3 a.m. on November 14, 2024 in hospital.
In honour of John, we would like to extend an invitation to and welcome all who wish to come together to pay tribute to John Daurio and the everlasting imprint he made with all whom he encountered.
John had an undeniable gift throughout his lifetime to enjoy every moment to the fullest in spite of anything life had to throw at him. His open-heart and the joy that radiated from him even with the little things was inspiring to many and he was always there to encourage others to do the same.
John was the first born of 6 beloved children. Born to Joseph and Teresa Daurio. John grew up closely with his siblings and remained connected to his 5 siblings: brothers - Mike, David, Joe, Anthony and sister JoAnne. John and his siblings were thankfully blessed with a beautiful day to enjoy a wonderful family get together this summer. This gathering sparked a light in John and meant more to him than people knew.
Anyone who ever knew or even crossed paths with John could see that the central point of his life was the unwavering pride and love he held for each one of his 4 sons since the day he first became a father. John’s sons Chris (Cynthia), Brett (Jordan), Mitch and Cole were just the beginning in his wonderful family that continued to grow over time. John was blessed with title of Grandpa that he forever hoped for when he became a grandfather to Gage, Malaya and Salena (Chris and Cynthia). The Joy his grandkids brought into his life could be seen everywhere and will forever hold an indescribable love that will never leave John and will ever soar with him and the eagles. John’s joy as a Grandfather only grew brighter as his son Brett found the boundless love of parenthood. Alanah and Maddix (Brett and Jordan) embraced that their home wasn’t complete without John, and the bond he and Maddix formed was undeniable.
We invite you to celebrate John’s life at Skwarchuc Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford, on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of speeches at 2:30 p.m.
