We were so sorry to just hear of Carol's passing over the past few days. Although in the last couple of years our encounters were merely a wave of hello or a chat with Bas, we remember our earlier time as neighbours on a newly built Gordon Court. We were all excited to move into our freshly built homes and neighbourhood and in those days had many chats and a few street gatherings. Carol was always the same pleasant, hard working lady. We were saddened to see Bas and Carol eventually move from the Court, but having her daughter and son in law purchase the home made it so we still saw her from time to time. She will be missed and we wish you all the best as you adjust to this loss. Sincerely, Jayne and Bill

Condolences to Bas, Bastian, Wayne, Valerie and children. I recall how Carol helped me to climb down from a tree in front of a house on Emma Road beside my grandfather's land when I was a very young child. Although I thought I would be scolded, Carol just laughed.

What I will always remember about (Aunt ) Carol is how often she popped over with a meal when my own mother was sick. It showed her kind and generous heart. Those are things you never forget.

Uncle Bas, Bastian, Wayne, Valerie (George),
We are so sad to hear of Aunt Carol's sudden passing. What a wonderful Aunt she was to have live close to us. She spent so much time at our house, coming over for coffee, bringing treats for us kids. I fondly remember the colouring books she brought us and how she taught me to "colour inside the lines" and the paper dolls she helped me cut out clothing for. The Christmases were such a highlight, with a house full of kids running around and the grownups sipping their own "special" eggnog.
Aunt Carol poured her heart into her family and into Pake & Beppe. It was those Saturday mornings she taught me how to set pin curls in Beppe's hair and grind the coffee beans to make a perfect pot of perked coffee.
My most recent memories is spending time in your home with Mom. Our time out on your boat and driving out to see Uncle Sid on his boat. I saw the love that was between the sisters and brother. Precious moments!
Our love and prayers are with you during this time of deep grief.

To Uncle Bas, Bastian, Wayne Valerie and George and to all the grandkids
Please know that we are heartbroken at the death of your partner and mom and grandmother. We have a life time of memories of Aunt Carol -- she was the 'cool' aunt who was energetic and fun and interested in our lives. We could tell her anything and often turned to her for advice. We spent many hours on 'summer holiday' at your house. We swam in the pool and went to the beach and visited the friend who had the endless supply of barrettes and head bands and girly things for your hair. We cuddled Valerie who was the cutest baby and had fun teasing Bastian and Wayne. She was the aunt who made time for us and encouraged us as we grew up.
Aunt Carol was also the person who looked after Bep and Pake for years and both Uncle Bas and Aunt Carol were constant visitors after our mom's devastating stroke. Aunt Carol had a huge heart and a caring soul.
We will miss her as we know you will.We hope that your memories of her and the company of family will sustain you in the coming days.
