Obituary of Kirk Kelly
Kirk Kelly (Coach)
October 22, 1953

After several overtime periods, Kirk has hung up his skates, put down the whistle, packed away the playbook, and changed his address: Kirk is now in heaven.
He will be sorely missed by Linda, his wife of 45 years, his son Martin (Laura) and grand-daughters Adelyn and Elina, his daughter Laura Lynn (Gerald) and grandson Wesley, his sister in-law Paula and his brother Michael (Douglas). Kirk was the eldest son of the late Martin (Mike) and Dorothy Kelly.
Kirk will be deeply missed by an extensive network of friends and companions from childhood and high school days at Danforth Technical School in Toronto, to the Christmas beer tasting clan in the Mount Albert area.
Kirk’s colleagues in business at Reynolds and Reynolds, and his many volunteer interests with: the Ontario Renal Network, the Kidney Foundation of Canada, the Newmarket Minor Hockey Association and community, Humber River Hospital, Valley View Alliance Church and the York Regional Police; will miss his kind-hearted contributions, his positive attitude, and his never failing sense of humour.
Our deepest gratitude to the excellent staff at Mount Sinai Hospital, especially the Intensive Care Unit team, who provided exceptional and compassionate care for Kirk over the past several months.
Arrangements for a celebration of Kirk’s life will be posted as soon as such gatherings are possible.
In Kirk’s memory, please consider a donation to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Mount Sinai Hospital or an organization of your choice. Thank you.
Condolences may be forwarded to Skwarchuk Funeral Home.
