Obituary of Richard Glista

Richard peacefully passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 77 years of age. Beloved Husband of Evelyn. Loving Faaaaah of Nikki. Predeceased by his Parents Joseph and Jeanette Glista and Brother Eddy Glista. Dear Brother-in-law of Susie (Greg) Gourlie. Dear Uncle of Sue (Rino), Shawn (Helen), Christopher (Angela) and their families. Special thanks to the staff at CICU at Southlake Regional Health Centre for their sincere dedication to Richard's care.

Planting his roots in the Holland Marsh, Richard also liked to travel in his Oldsmobiles, beit his '68 442, his Bravada or his '57 98.  He shared his passion and knowledge of cars with his family and friends whenever he could. Along with his moustache, Richard's sense of humour was his trademark.  He was quick-witted, always had a comeback and a way to make people smile. He held so much knowledge when it came to his cars, but he seemed to know something about most any topic.  He could bend the ear of a stranger at a flea market or make a friend laugh with his goofy twist in conversations.

A visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 11 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. followed by cremation.

Facial masks are required at the visitation and funeral service.

In Richard's memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
