I’m am so sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Edie, but I certainly smile when I think of her. I have great memories with Aunt Edie….between your Mom and Dad, I was a proficient card player by the age of 5, a motorhome trip that I can’t remember the destination, but the great people (what counts) and the famous road trip from ON to NL with Aunt Edie, my dad, michelle and my hamster (just to add to the fun:) The last time I saw aunt Edie was in 2012 and no matter how many years had passed, it was alway the same …the warm welcome, some giggles and talks about the fun times we had growing up. You will be missed Aunt Edie. My condolences to her family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Tonya Skanes

A contagious smile that lit up a room, Sara Lee cake that she made my favourite, taking care of my childhood pets graciously, showing me as a child that a hone really could be on wheels, a life full of living. Our deep and heartfelt loss is one of Heaven’s greatest gains. (Great) Aunt Edie will be forever missed. Michelle Skanes

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our favorite Aunt Edie, God rest her soul.
I am deeply grateful to Aunt Edie for letting me stay at her home when I first moved to Toronto back in 1969 while I was getting a job to be able to get Nora and my son Derrick to move to Toronto.
We had a great rapport with Aunt Edie even when we moved to North Carolina we would always visit Aunt Edie anytime we were in Toronto.
To all my cousins I am sorry that I will not be able to attend her funeral as we have just become Naturalized American Citizens and we are in the process of getting our New Passports.
Steve, Nora, Derrick and Ralene,
