It is so very difficult to lose a dear family member too soon. Karen was that funny, loving, devoted and caring person. She always welcomed you with a beautiful smile and great big hug. She would light up your day and make you laugh. She loved her family ferociously and friends became like family. She wore many hats - wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, grandmother and friend - graciously.. She lived her life to the fullest with what the dear Lord gave her at that moment and always made the best of it. Karen, you were loved so very much and will be missed but your light will never dim as long as family and friends keep you close to their hearts and remember you with deep love and affection. Keep smiling down on us. Love to the Crang and Parrell families - you are upheld in prayer and loved. Love from cousin Kimberley (Carter) and Tony

Our sincere condolences to both the Parrell and Crang Families....God has most certainly gained another beautiful Soul.....it is hard to believe how long I have known her....from my early days at the Bradford Witness.....wow....how time has passed so quickly and without a doubt I will long cherish the countless amazing times I and others were gifted by your presence Karen. Your smile....your love and laughter. Godspeed my wonderful friend.
If one must fade from our life....May they fade like a song....Hence we will always remember their lyrics....Don P.

I first met Karen working at the Bradford newspaper. She and Gerald were always there to put a smile on everyone face with their ongoing whit. Just prior to Christmas I stopped in at the Simpson store on highway 11 to ask about her whereabouts. I was able to get her sisters number however I never did get around to calling her. I will forever regret that. Rest in peace my dear friend. My sincere Condolences to the entire family.

I first met Karen at South Simcoe Theatre during the days of panic before opening night of a play, when Kathy would call Karen for help. Funny as heck, cheerful, handy and unflappable amidst the mayhem, she was a joy to be around. Condolences to all her family and friends on the loss of this very special person.

Shortly after Karen's father died I had her Mom and family to my house at 88 and 400 for Thanksgiving.
She was so impressed with the house and said she would love a place like this.
Lo and behold years later Karen and family did buy and live in the house.
She made me so welcome everytime I visited there.
Sorry for the family left behind.
Mourn not too long that she is gone but REJOICE forever that she was.

Karen was 3 years older than me and I just thought that she and Shirley Vanderlinde were the best. I would walk around Osler's huge yard with them, when I was in Gr.3, and enjoy hanging out with 'the big girls'. As adults, we met again at Southlake in the maternity ward. She had just had her youngest and I, my oldest. I'd see her in Bradford, driving her 'short bus'. Whenever we saw each other, she was quick with a hug and a smile. She was fun, funny, caring and just great to be around. I know that she will be missed terribly. May your many memories give you comfort in the days to come.

Oh, no. I was just thinking about Karen the other day, wondering if she was still driving the short bus. I loved it when she came to my school, or when I ran into her elsewhere. She always had a giant smile, and made everyone around her feel elevated, joyful. I will miss her. Love to all the family. XO

I considered Karen to be a second mother to me. She was always so passionate about her beliefs and cared deeply for her family and her grandson Cyrus.
I want to say condolences to her family as losing a mother, sister, aunt etc is never easy. She brought so much joy into those around her and was truly a good hearted person. Prayers to all of her family
