Michelle Janse

Obituary of Michelle Carrie Janse

Michelle was a wife, mom, daughter and sister, who put her family first. She loved the annual family trips to Florida where she could soak up the sun, reconnect with her parents and siblings and make many lasting memories.

Her career began as an Auxillary Officer with the South Simcoe Police. Shortly after she became a Police Constable (2993) with the Toronto Police where she remained for 30 years until retiring in 2020.

Michelle’s love for Christ was reflected throughout her life. She was the first person to reach out to welcome someone new at church, and had a soft heart for those in need.

For many years, Michelle organized the children’s Vacation Bible School at Springdale Christian Reformed Church and Michelle had a real love for all children.

Michelle will be deeply missed. Her kindness, warm smile and her contagious laughter will never be forgotten.

Michelle peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie, Ontario on April 29, 2023 at 52 years of age after a long battle with cancer.
