When I joined the Model Railroader Forum 13 years ago, I never considered that there could be such a thing as "Forum Friends."
I consider that I am very lucky that I became one of Daves "Forum Friends."
He was generous with his time, advice, and encouragement to most of us, and will be missed.
My thoughts and best wishes to Dianne, family and friends.

Our sincerest condolences to you Dianne and your family. I had the pleasure of meeting Dave, and I remember one occasion where I visited his train show, and I was so impressed with his wonderfully displayed train collection, his passion and his vast knowledge.
May he be at peace.

Harry and I are so saddened to hear of Dave's passing.
Who can believe that Dave and I met over 40 years ago...when we were part of the team selected to open a new Sears store.
What an experience that was...and yet, through it all, we had some great times and alot of fun.
Through the years and across the distances, we were able to keep in touch and share even more memories of time spent together.
Strangely enough, most of those memories centre around food! Who can forget his experiment with coffee crusted beef...or the best homemade sausage recipe I've ever tasted.
Please know that we are so sorry for your loss.
Hugs to you, Dianne

My sincere condolences on Dave's passing.
I never met Dave in person, but we communicated several times via email.
At one point Dave even sent me some freight cars for my layout.
I will miss him.

Thinking of you, Diane and your family during this difficult time. Dave was always interested in what, we all were doing. From playing Pickleball, to getting involve with Probus( our dinner club) to talking about your grandson. He was fun and smart, especially when it came to History and Trains!! May you find comfort in the memories of you together over the years. May he Rest in Peace,
Take Care
